Blown away by the Transit Kings live set at The Big Chill 2005, Canola Tenderfoot sent some demos to Malicious Damage records and, after getting the thumbs up ("both barrells") from the label, their debut album ‘Winning is for Losers’ was released on 11 November 2007. The album was launched in Bristol on a glorious night of music, art & video featuring: DJs (Jon Kennedy, DJ Annon Lee, The Basic & Canola Tenderfoot); Videos to album tracks by B.L.C, David Wright, Kalabi, Mike Coles, Silly Goose, Zyga; And an exhibition of artwork & photography by Lisa Whiting. More recently, the Tenderfeet have self-released four tracks of music aimed more at the whole body than the head and heart. 'The light still flickers' EP is a free download available through this website and the Canola Tenderfoot myspace page (www.myspace.com/canolatenderfoot). Canola Tenderfoot have also colloborated with Zoon Van Snook, Jon Kennedy, Sweet Laredo, Sir Beans OBE, Forsaken, Kalabi and Beard of Meats from Bristol’s lushest hip-hop label Hairy Parents. And remixes have been provided for Jon Kennedy, TOOB and Yes King under Owen's Woos moniker (www.myspace.com/woosic). The pair continue to delight with their DJ sets and the Tenderfoot Vinyl Ensemble is always available for bookings - gigs@canolatenderfoot.co.uk For up to date information, as well as reviews & videos, please visit www.myspace.com/canolatenderfoot respeCT x |
